FundsCheck

Terms of Service

Effective October 23, 2026. These terms govern the use of FundsCheck by institutions, their staff and the applicants who upload documents through the Student Portal.

Terms of Service Privacy Policy About FundsCheck

FundsCheck is operated by FPP EDU Media LLC, a Nevada limited liability company with registered office at 9550 S. Eastern Avenue, Ste. 253, Las Vegas, NV 89123, United States ("FPP", "we"). By creating an account, uploading a document or otherwise using FundsCheck, you agree to these terms.

1. Who these terms apply to

FundsCheck has two kinds of users.

  • Institutions and their staff. Universities, colleges and schools that subscribe to FundsCheck, and the people they authorize to use it. The subscription itself is governed by a signed FundsCheck Service Agreement. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement prevails for the institution.
  • Applicants. Students and their financial sponsors who upload documents through an institution's Student Portal link. Applicants use FundsCheck at the request of the institution they are applying to, and it is that institution, not FPP, that reviews the result and makes decisions.

2. What FundsCheck does

FundsCheck examines bank statements and similar financial documents at file level: the issuing bank's digital signature, the software that generated the file, changes made after the bank produced it, and whether the same file or account was previously submitted to the same institution. Each document receives one of five readings (Trusted, Normal, Warning, High Risk or Not Supported) with the findings that support it, the balance converted to the institution's preferred currency and, where requested, an English translation and a verification certificate.

A reading describes the document, never the person. FundsCheck does not make admission, visa, immigration, credit or eligibility decisions and has no authority to do so. The institution remains responsible for every decision it takes.

3. Accounts and access

  • Institution users receive individual logins. Credentials must not be shared. Institutions must enable the authentication controls we make available, including multi factor authentication, and deactivate users who leave.
  • Applicants access the Student Portal by confirming their email address with a one time code. No password is stored for applicants.
  • You are responsible for activity under your login. Tell us without delay at fundscheck@fpp.world if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Uploading documents

When you upload a document you confirm that:

  • you are the account holder, or the sponsor named on the application, or a member of the institution's staff acting on its behalf;
  • the document is genuine and has not been altered, edited, re-saved, merged or converted after you downloaded it from the bank; and
  • you have the right to submit it and understand that an automated analysis tool will examine it as part of the institution's review.

Submitting an altered or fabricated document may be reported to the institution and may have consequences under its policies and applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You will not, and will not allow anyone else to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the models, prompts, rules, scoring logic or source code of FundsCheck;
  • use FundsCheck, its outputs or its indicators to develop, train, benchmark or improve a competing product or model;
  • submit documents unrelated to the institution's own applicants, or test or synthetic fraud documents at scale, without our prior written agreement;
  • resell, sublicense or share the service with unrelated organizations, or provide verification services to third parties through it;
  • circumvent usage limits, security controls or access controls; or
  • upload malware or unlawful content.

6. Your content

You keep every right you hold in the documents and information you submit. You grant FPP only the limited right to store, analyze, translate on request and display that content in order to provide FundsCheck to the institution, to keep the service secure and to comply with law. We do not use your documents to train generally available machine learning models, we do not sell or rent them, and we do not use them for advertising. This right ends when the content is deleted under our Privacy Policy.

7. Fees

Fees are agreed with the institution in its Service Agreement. Applicants are never charged by FPP for uploading documents through the Student Portal.

8. Intellectual property

FundsCheck, its software, models, interfaces, documentation and trademarks belong to FPP and its licensors. Institutions receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during their subscription. No other rights are granted.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep FundsCheck available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may improve, modify or replace features, and we give institutions reasonable notice of scheduled maintenance expected to cause downtime. We may suspend an account that presents a security risk, is used unlawfully or breaches section 5, limiting the suspension to what is necessary.

10. Limits of verification technology

No verification technology can guarantee that every fraudulent, altered, inaccurate or misleading document will be identified, and automated analysis may produce false positives and false negatives. FPP does not guarantee the authenticity of any document or the accuracy of information supplied by applicants, banks, sponsors or other third parties. Except as expressly stated in a signed Service Agreement, FundsCheck is provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties to the extent permitted by law.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FPP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, enrollment or funding. For institutions, our total liability is limited as set out in the Service Agreement. For applicants, who do not pay us, our total liability for any claim relating to FundsCheck is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.

12. Termination

Institutions end their use of FundsCheck under their Service Agreement. Applicants may stop using the Student Portal at any time; documents already submitted remain with the institution's record under the Privacy Policy. We may close an account that breaches these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, unless a signed Service Agreement provides otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law or in FundsCheck. We will post the new version on this page with its effective date and, for material changes, notify institutions at least fourteen (14) days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
