The counsellors who guide students abroad, trained to one standard.
STAR Certified Counsellor sets a professional standard for university advising.
Intercultural Sciences prepares counsellors for the cultural challenges of studying in another culture.
From the school to the campus
The high school counsellor shapes where a student applies, long before a recruiter meets the family. FPP works with both sides: universities and the schools that send them students.
- University fairs, school visits and events for international students.
- University Access: the free portal for schools, students and families.
- Training and certification for the counsellors who guide them.
Global Career & College Counseling
Connecting the people who guide the next generation.
FPP EDU Media and World Educational Leaders work together to connect school counsellors around the world, strengthen their professional development and raise international standards in college and career guidance. For universities, it means better-prepared counterparts in the schools that send them students.
FPP: training and certification

Universities in the conversation

A professional standard for university advising

Far beyond international advising
Developed by The Student World, the education brand of FPP EDU Media, in partnership with Andrea Sebben, psychologist, researcher and specialist in Intercultural Sciences, this certification widens the perspective of school counsellors on the human, cultural and emotional dimensions of academic mobility.
The aim is to bring together scientific knowledge, intercultural understanding and practical application, so that education professionals can guide students and families with greater awareness and cultural sensitivity.
What counsellors learn: six strands
- Intercultural psychology: how culture shapes identity, emotions, behaviour, communication and human relationships.
- Migration and cultural adaptation: leaving, arriving, rebuilding references and developing new senses of belonging.
- Mental health: the emotional needs that come with cultural transitions, and when specialised support matters.
- Intercultural communication: handling differences, avoiding misreadings and building relationships of trust.
- Families and support networks: the role of those who leave, those who stay and those who welcome.
- Preparation and welcome: pre-departure advising, support during the experience and reintegration.
