A Diplomatic-Grade Return to Brazil

In September 2025, FPP delivered The Student World EXPO · Brazil in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, bringing together universities from Europe and North America for a multi-country student recruitment event. Inside that program, Campus France selected FPP as its strategic partner for "Bem-vindo à França" — the official Salon des études en France · Brésil 2025 — hosted as a dedicated French pavilion within the EXPO, plus a B2B networking event attended by the Ambassador of France as part of the France–Brazil Year of Celebration.

What our 2025 Brazil partners said

Verbatim quotes from institutions that participated in The Student World EXPO Brazil.

It was a very enriching experience to participate in FPP's The Student Expo and High School Tour. For us, a significant advantage was being able to meet a high volume of students with diverse profiles interested in studying abroad at a single event. Many end up considering France and the learning of the French language due to the opportunities and advantages of studying in France. Regarding the High School Tour, it's worth highlighting that the selection of international schools was very well executed and brought together young bilingual and trilingual students with high potential. It turned out to be a very interesting experience to interact with younger students who are planning their next steps in education and life.

Brazil Is Latin America's Biggest Opportunity

Brazil is the largest economy in Latin America and home to more than 215 million people, the region's largest pool of study-abroad-ready students, and a generation of young professionals actively planning international undergraduate, postgraduate and language experiences.

The question is not whether Brazilian students still want to study abroad.

The question is whether your institution shows up where they actually decide — São Paulo, Campinas, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and the national online fairs.

The Reality Check

Brazilian demand is strong — but financial scrutiny is the new bottleneck.

Brazilian students continue to pursue international education at scale, with Portugal, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Spain consistently among the top destinations.

But destination governments — and admissions offices — are tightening financial credibility checks.

It is a filter, not a stop sign.

The Brazilian students who still complete applications, attend fairs and pull together proof-of-funds packages are the most committed candidates in the funnel — exactly the profiles your enrollment team wants to convert.

The institutions that maintain visibility in Brazil today, with the right tools to qualify candidates earlier, are the ones building the strongest pipelines for 2027 and beyond.

Demand is high — but currency volatility is real

Brazil remains Latin America's largest outbound market, with study-abroad demand spanning undergraduate, postgraduate and language programs. The 2025 São Paulo and Rio editions of The Student World EXPO alone drew 3,400+ pre-screened students across exhibitors from Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and beyond.

The Brazilian Real's volatility against USD, EUR, GBP and CAD makes proof-of-funds documentation harder to evaluate — and easier to misread.

The financial eligibility problem is costing everyone

Admissions teams spend substantial time reviewing Brazilian bank statements, school records and supporting documentation that may still result in visa refusals, delayed enrollments, or reputational risk.

This is now one of the biggest operational challenges in Latin American student recruitment.

Institutions need better tools to evaluate financial credibility earlier in the admissions process.

Introducing

FundsCheck — Adaptive Financial Credibility Screening

FundsCheck is FPP's AI-powered platform built for international admissions teams navigating today's higher-scrutiny visa environment.

The platform helps institutions evaluate financial credibility and supporting documentation before visa submission — reducing avoidable enrollment loss and improving operational confidence.

Built around the real challenges of international recruitment, FundsCheck combines AI-assisted document analysis, fraud indicators, and financial readiness screening to support more informed admissions decisions.

What FundsCheck Helps You Do

Pre-visa financial screening

Know before issuing admission whether a student is likely to meet your institution's financial expectations and visa requirements.

Reduce melt from visa denials

Avoid losing admitted students to preventable financial documentation issues.

Institutional reporting dashboard

Track your Brazil recruitment pipeline with financial readiness insights and risk indicators.

Built for the current policy environment

Designed for today's enhanced scrutiny around proof of funds and financial credibility.

AI-powered document validation

FundsCheck can help validate bank statements, academic transcripts, and supporting documentation for inconsistencies or potential manipulation.

Detect AI-era document fraud

Synthetic bank statements and altered academic records can look perfect to the human eye. FundsCheck flags the inconsistencies traditional visual review misses.

Protect Your Enrollment — And Your Reputation

FundsCheck helps institutions admit international students with greater confidence by adding an additional layer of financial and document credibility assessment before the visa stage.

The goal is simple:

Identify stronger applicants earlier, reduce avoidable visa-related losses, and protect institutional integrity in an increasingly complex recruitment environment.
